'Sleep sound in Jesus' Part 1

I'm amazed how the time has flown! Its been over a month now since...

'All was quiet in the room except for the soft sound of music and the pitter pat of tears on the floor. The passing of our dear little friend Taffy, was harder than we had expected. Those tears welling up in our eyes and spilling down our cheeks were not as plenteous as the wonderful memories that flooded our minds.'

Memories of good times.

Sunshine...

and snow.

Plenty of playdays...

...the best doll you could ever own!

She was...
Always happy to go on an expadition to wonderland backyard,

or just a quiet nap.
(on the couch was a favorit)

Memories...
Of dreams come true...

Vacations too.

Ball of fluf.

She Loved Christmas, and beautiful things!
Playing on the lawn...

...Or hiking some trail,

 She was always there.

Always so Happy!

That and so much more was Our little Taffy!

I love and miss you!

'But now we were sitting by her bed as she declined. We thought she had been very close twice in the past 24 hours and we were sure it would not be long. The happenings of those moments are almost all a blur now just as the tears blurred my vision.
The evening before (Monday) we thought she was going, her breathing was fast and short but as her breath began to normalize we brought her into the living room, got out the old VCR and old video tapes of right after I was born.  Taffy was so energetic and young then!  Later when we were done we took taffy back in the laundry room and cried and reminisced and pet our little friend. We weren’t sure if she’d make it through the night. We headed to bed around 11:30p.m.
From Sunday evening to Tuesday evening we had a CD of lullabies, by Mickale Card, playing on repeat.  The music was so fitting and often brought a flood of tears again to our eyes.'

“Sleep sound in Jesus

The angels are near

They’re keeping watch

So there’s nothing to fear

Against any foe

They are ready to fight

So sleep sound in Jesus

I’ll turn off the light.”

“He’ll wipe away your tears

By the hand within my hand

The Lord who knows of tears so well

Must surely understand

He’ll wipe away your tears…

And still your restless sighs...

… And so when he returns again

To wake us from the sleep of sin

The Lord who now regards your cry

Will gently see each tear is dried.”

“Even the darkness is light to Him

And night is as bright as the day

So you are safe though the light grows dim

For even the darkness is light to Him.

The Father above does not slumber or sleep

He wakefully watches our ways

Then there’s no reason for you to weep

The Father above neither slumbers nor sleeps

So dry your eyes of angel blue

And trust the One who died for you

Would not Jesus safely keep
The little ones He loves asleep?

Even the darkness is light to Him

And night is as bright as the day

So you are safe though the light grows dim

For even the darkness is light to Him."

  1. Taffy looks like she was a very special friend. Sorry we never got to know her. Yes, we believe Jesus will be so happy to give her back to you someday!
