Summer in Pictures Part 2

Thus began my summer.
The loneliest one I ever lived through.

Almost immediately after Bethany and Emily left,
the Garden demanded attention.

 So did the weeds! :)

Daddy and I putting the string up for the beans.

Along with keeping up with the vegetable Garden
there were the berries.

Lots and lots of them.

Preserving them.

We even got our cherries (most of them anyway)
before the ants did.

Apricots...

 and Apricot leather.

It was delicious!

Just keeping up with the household duties was
enough to promptly smother my hopes of doing
school through the Summer.

By the way, Mommy did a lot too,
but I defiantly had my share!!!

There aren't a lot of pictures with her
in them because she was behind the
camera quite offten!

We did a few things with friends but that only
helped my loneliness for that day.

When, your sisters are your best friends
and you've shared a bedroom with them
practically all your life...
then when their gone,

the house is  just way TOO empty!!!

Summer in Pictures Part 1

Here's the summer in pictures...
and some words.

Baling hay with friends/neighbors.

I got to drive the truck,
and had a lot of fun!

It was a big job.

During all of the spring and early summer
Bethany and Emily were packing and sewing
for ASI Youth for Jesus in Texas.

Next was my Baptism.

Followed by one last week together,
and topped off by a bad bug that I got
and so I was miserably feverish
for most of those days.

Then on the 8th of July, Bethany & Emily left.

Praise the Lord they never got sick!

I was so thrilled with the idea of a flight
on a commercial airline and the adventure that lay
ahead of them that I hardly realised that they were
going away for a LONG time and that I would be
by my self...
and all those things that I began to realised later.

YFJ

Their adventures in Texas are enough to write a
book. So you can just imagine.

When God gives us Friends...

Our time together is over...

...it was beautiful...

but like the leaves of autumn...
It's most visible glory has vanished.

Yet the memory still burns in our hearts...

It always will.

...always...

...always...

...always...

till eternity is here.

Our time was spent with friends...
NO, Family!

Through trials, yes blessings,

the Lord has knit our hearts together.
I love you Uncle Greg, Aunt Sue, and Aunt Jan!
Come back again Soon!

When God gives us friends he gives us extra family.
